Parable of Communion
God speaks to us in parables so that we can understand Spiritual truths. If you can understand breast-feeding then you will understand Communion. Communion comes from the root word commune, which means to communicate. It also has to do with the feeding of information and truth. The communion elements, represents the body and blood of Jesus Christ. We are what we eat. When we feed on Jesus the bread of life we become more like Him. We feed on Him though His word and prayer and worship.

The blood of Jesus provides spiritual, antibodies that protect a Christian against sickness and diseases. Isaiah 53:5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. I Peter

A mother is the only one who can feed and satisfy her baby.

Jesus is the only one who can feed and satisfy the Christian. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

We should hungry for Jesus the way a baby hungers for breast milk. Babies feed every two hours so if we would be hungry for Jesus like a baby hungers for milk we would be more like Jesus.
Are Babies too young to take Communion?
Everything that a pregnant woman or breast feeding mom eats or drinks goes to her baby. If she takes Communion then her baby will be receiving communion. A baby can receive Communion even at mother’s breast. If babies were too young for Communion then pregnant mothers and nursing mothers could not take Communion.
