Many years ago, my husband and I came up with the ideal of the Jesus O Lantern. We carved two hearts for eyes representing that Jesus looks at us though His eyes of love and that we are the apple of His eye. We carved a cross for the nose to represent His death and resurrection on the cross. We carved the name of Jesus in the smile to represent the power of His name when spoken. The light inside the pumpkin represents that Jesus is the light of the world.
