Mary's Shoes

I love to step into Mary's shoes to ride upon a beast to give up the comforts of riding in a car to Bethlehem. I love to step into Mary's shoes and give birth in a stable. I gladly give up the comforts of a hospital to give birth to My Savior. I love to step into Mary's shoes to see the star of Bethlehem and watch it guide the wise men to the Christ Child. I love to step into Mary's shoes to hold the Savior in my arms. I love to step into Mary's shoes to nurse the bread of life at my breast. To see Him smile at me and have His eyes glaze into mine. I love to step into Mary's shoes just to birth the first Christmas to the whole world and to be a part of God's gift to the world. I gladly give up the comforts of a phone, the TV and computer just to witness the first Christmas and be apart of it. I love to step into Mary's shoes just to know what she thought and felt. It most have been all worth it to ride upon the donkey's back. It must have been all worth it to spend that night in a stable away from family and friends. It most have been all worth it to see the Savior born and it is all still worth it to go back in time though the minds of our imagination to see the Christ child and the shepherds and the star of Bethlehem. Let’s take time to go back and see the first Christmas.
